Most of these gift cards can be redeemed for 100% of the value “in cash” from the retail merchant. Al it takes is a hone call to their guest relatiosn number. The scam is not for them to use the balance, these guys are obtaining stolen credit card numbers and trying to get cash from the victim by purchasing gift cards. Then they try to resell the cards at a discount. Often the merchants will find out a stolen card was used (credit card chargeback) and they will take the associated gift card balance down to $0. That is how you get screwed for going after a deal that seems too good to be true!

all of you are retarded….you are allowed. well ok, your not allowed. but most of the time it goes unnoticed so it’s possible. I’ve done it about 4-5 times with 4-5 different gift cards from amex. it usually works, however when it says it was denied call amex and ask them why, they know EXACTLY why it was denied. hope this helps and everyone above: STOP GIVING OUT FALSE INFORMATION!!!

Lots of stores have them. Grocery stores, drug stores… they sell all kinds of gift cards including Visa.
